A laminate main door (often called a “Formica” door) is made with 1mm High Pressure Laminate (HPL) glued and pressed onto 3mm plywood over a masonite or composite wood core, finished with matching ABS edge trim. It resists scratches and dampens sound, and is growing in popularity for HDB, BTO and condo homes in Singapore. Made at our own Singapore factory.

What Is a Laminate Main Door?
Compared with our Classic, Nyatoh and Veneer main doors, a laminate main door offers far more design variety — from clean solid colours and marble looks to realistic wood grains — on a surface that stands up to everyday knocks and scratches.
We fabricate laminate main doors for HDB resale flats, BTO units, condominiums, private apartments and landed homes, all made at our own factory in Singapore and installed by our team.

From clean solid tones and marble finishes to a wide range of realistic wood-grain textures. Laminate is 3.6mm on plywood, or 0.8mm with matching PVC edging. Wipe with a mild household cleaner and avoid strong detergents, high heat and prolonged direct sunlight. Antibacterial laminate available on request.

Do You Need a Fire-Rated Door?
For HDB flats over 30 years old, your existing main door may not be fire rated unless a previous owner changed it. Here is how to check.

Likely fire rated, but check the fire seal on the side of the door to confirm.

Still verify via the fire seal on the door edge.

Buying a resale flat? Check with the owner. For confirmation on whether your replacement needs a fire-rated door, check directly with HDB. The minimum requirement is 30 minutes, and fire-rated doors are thicker. We make both fire-rated and non-fire-rated laminate main doors.

How do I know if I need a single leaf or double leaf laminate main door?
Count the door panels on your current main door. One panel is single leaf (3ft × 7ft, 915 × 2130mm) and two panels of unequal width is double leaf (4ft × 7ft, 1220 × 2130mm). You cannot convert a double leaf door into a single leaf, so confirm before requesting your quote.

My condo has rules on main door replacement. What should I do?
Check with your condo management first, as they typically set standards for colour, material, thickness and fire rating. Once confirmed, WhatsApp us the specifications and we will advise what we can fabricate. Condo doors are 42mm non-fire-rated or 45–51mm fire-rated.
What information do you need to give me a laminate main door quote?
Your door measurement (single or double leaf), whether a fire-rated door is required, and your preferred laminate design code. We cannot provide an accurate quote without these details.
How long does installation take, and how much is the deposit?
Installation is usually 14–21 working days after the deposit is received. The deposit is 50% of the order or $100, whichever is higher.
Is there a charge if I cancel the site visit?
A $40 transport and man-hours fee applies if a site visit is cancelled or not confirmed. Please make sure the decision maker is present on the day so the measurement and design can be finalised in one visit.
